What sets your shed apart from the competition? We want customers to look at the competition and compare. You will find that our buildings come standard with many features that are unavailable on sheds from other companies. Higher walls. Taller doorways. Blemish-free plywood. Thicker flooring. and the strongest 1-Piece floor construction in the industry. Do you drive a large truck across my lawn? Our sheds our pre-fabricated and brought to your property in sections. These sections are heavy, however, as long as our truck can unload within 100ft of the shed location we will manually carry the pieces into position. This eliminates damage to landscaping. Do you use sub-contract labor to construct your sheds? No. Any company that uses sub-contract labor eliminates their ability to control one of the most important aspects of the whole shed purchasing process, the installation. Reeds Ferry employs our own installation staff. By doing so we ensure that our installers are well trained and provided with the best possible equipment to do the job. What types of siding do you offer? We offer pine, vinyl, cedar board, cedar clapboard, and cedar shakes What is the most popular siding? Vinyl. Many people do not want to worry about maintaining their storage shed. We offer a thick-mil 100% maintenance free vinyl in a wide selection of colors. Our standard door is a maintenance free synthetic that will not dent or scratch. Do your pine and cedar buildings come unfinished? Yes, our pine and cedar buildings come unfinished ready for your personal touch. How many colors of vinyl do you offer? We offer 14 standard vinyl colors, and can special order colors upon request.
How many roof shingle colors do you offer? We offer eight standard 25 year 3 tab roof shingle colors.

- Architectural White (*Architectural shingles are not available on gambrel roof style*) Can I pick what color shutters I would like to have installed? Yes. We offer 10 different shutter colors. Optional flower boxes are also available in 10 colors. How long do you warranty your sheds for? 30 years. Do you install sheds year round? Yes, even with snow on the ground. Our installers clear the shed foundation area of snow before starting the installation. How many cement footings do I need and where do I place them? If the building is on nearly level ground with a crushed stone base then cement footings many not be required. Footings of any kind depend on the size of the building and local building code requirements. (See the bottom of our "Site Preparation" page for diagrams of suggested sono tube placements for each size building.) We recommend you review your plan and permit requirements with your local building department. At Reeds Ferry we are experts at navigating the code requirements stipulated by various municipalities.
