Reeds roof is engineered to exceed the more stringent building code
requirements of Northern NH and Maine where snowfall amounts are greater. As
a result, our roofs more than double the snow load requirements found in the
rest of New England. The chart below shows the load requirements for each
zone. It is measured in pounds per square foot (PSF).
Reeds Ferry has retained Holden Engineering of Bedford NH to ensure
the structural integrity of our buildings. As shown in the technical drawing
below Reeds standard roof has a load capacity of 110 pounds per square foot,
far exceeding all code requirements.
