Reeds Ferry Sheds is looking for someone to join our team in a hybrid position of Customer Service and Sales. On Saturdays from 9am-5pm and Sundays 12pm-5pm, we are looking for a front desk customer service representative. Responsibilities would include greeting customers as they walk in the door, answering general questions about our sales process and products and then directing customers to a sales team member. This position is also responsible for answering phones, reviewing and entering orders into our accounting system, contacting customers and scheduling site visits. On Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am-5pm and Fridays 9am-5pm, this same person would fill the role of a salesperson. Primary responsibility will be assisting customers in determining the size and type of shed or gazebo that best meets their needs. This will include meeting with customers in our Hudson, NH location, showing them various examples of our products, emphasizing the selling points of each, and making recommendations based on their needs. These combined roles would equal one full-time position, Friday through Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm and Monday through Tuesday 9am-5pm.

We are not looking for the heavy pressure, “used car salesperson” types. We prefer a customer-focused selling approach, assisting and advising our customers so that they can make informed decisions based upon their specific needs. As a result, this is an hourly position; we do not believe in commissions. If you believe that this position sounds like something you’re interested in, here are some of the qualifications that our ideal candidate would have:

–Prior sales experience, preferably in a construction related industry;
–Ability to work weekends is a must as these are the busiest days of the week;
–Ability to work extra hours is required, during certain busier times;
–Flexibility to assist in other areas of the business during the slower season;
–Ability to prepare sales documents, receive payments and process orders;
–Ability to effectively communicate, with a friendly demeanor, over the phone, in person and online;
–Prior experience using Microsoft Office is required;
–Prior experience with QuickBooks and/or Epicor Kinetic is ideal, but not required;
–Must have the ability to multi-task, have a keen eye for detail and keep calm under pressure;
–Working as a team player is a must.
–A sense of humor is a requirement, because while we all work really hard, we like to have fun while doing it!

Salary: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour -DOE
