 Reeds Ferry Shed FAQ's

Why buy a shed from Reeds Ferry?

1) Higher quality. Unlike our competitors, Reeds Ferry only uses top-grade lumber and we put more of it into every shed we build.
2) Bigger selection. At Reeds Ferry you will see 5 acres of sheds on display in every size, style and color.
3) A better buying experience. Sheds are our only business and we put 100% of our focus on creating a totally satisfied customer.
4) We put our name on every shed. Simply put, if it says "Reeds Ferry", you got a good one.

What sets Reeds Ferry sheds apart from the competition?

We urge customers to look at the competition and compare. You'll find that our buildings have standard features that are unavailable on sheds from other companies. Example, Higher walls. Taller doorways. Blemish-free plywood. Thicker flooring, and the strongest floor construction in the industry, with a double floor-beam down the center of all buildings 10 feet wide or more..

Is there more than one way to order a Reeds Ferry Shed?

Yes. There are three ways to place an order.
1) Order in-store. Visit our showroom. See over 70 sheds on display and tour our factory.
2) Order by phone. Select a shed online, then call 888-85-SHED (888-857-4337) and place an order with our customer service reps.
3) Order online. Use our 3D Design Tool. Select your style and colors and place your order online.

Is your lawn and landscaping harmed during the installation of a Reeds Ferry shed?

No. Our sheds are prefabricated and brought to your property in sections. As long as our delivery truck can unload somewhat near the final site, the installation crew is able to carry the sections into position. This means trucks aren't required to be on your lawn, which eliminates landscape damage. Hand carrying also means we're able to transport a wide building through a very narrow space, (like a 36" fence gate or between two trees, etc.).

Does Reeds Ferry use sub-contract labor to construct the shed?

No. Companies that employ sub-contract labor eliminate their ability to control the quality of the building and installation. Reeds Ferry Sheds are built and installed by Reeds Ferry employees. 100% staffing ensures that our carpenters and installers have the experience and training necessary and are provided the best tools and equipment to do the job.

30 years. If you experience a problem at any point during the ownership of your shed, call our Service Department at 888-857-4337.

Does Reeds Ferry install sheds year round?

Yes, even with snow on the ground. Our installers completely clear the foundation area of snow and then install the building. If any settling issues occur we return in the spring to adjust and re-level the foundation.

Are cement footings required for the shed?

If the building is on nearly level ground with a crushed stone base then cement footings are not required. Footings of any kind (or pouring a cement slab), depends on the size of the building, the homeowner's preference, and local building code requirements. (See the bottom of our "Site Preparation" page for diagrams of suggested sono tube placements for each size building). We recommend you review your plan and permit requirements with your local building department. At Reeds Ferry we're experts at navigating the code requirements stipulated by various municipalities. We will help if you experience any permitting issues.
